Twilight Eclipse: When does Jacob swap with Seth Clearwater in the plan to hide Bella?
In Eclipse, chapter 18, Jacob convinces Edward that Seth could be a "Cell Phone", to communicate with the pack whilst Bella is kept at a safe distance. Edward states "I'll feel better with Seth there".
In chapter 19, after Bella wakes up, she talks about her plan to escape back to the clearing, referencing that Seth will be easy to convince to show her the way. Edward retorts that he could tell Jacob to order Seth not to let her, as Jacob is "Sam's second in command" and the pack (Seth) would be just as compelled to obey him.
Edward then tells her about the complicated wolf dramas before Bella asks him to stay with her, instead of fighting. Later, they return to the clearing for 'training', and Jacob comes over to sit with Bella in wolf form. Out of nowhere, she says to him "So we've got some hiking to do tomorrow, I guess".
...and then in Chapter 21, it is Jacob who is part of the plan to take Bella to the mountains.
Is this an over-sight by Meyer, an under explained plot change, or have I just skipped over the point where Seth was no longer in the plan?
